Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Combined
The Change Management courses, developed in partnership with the Change Management Institute, are designed to help organisations and their people plan, implement, and effectively manage the impact of change.
Audience:
- Aspiring or current change agents.
- Project and Programme Managers.
- Business Leaders, looking to cultivate or lead change.
- Communications, HR and Training Professionals who are often involved in organisational changes.
What is it based on?
A Study Guide accompanies the Change Management courses and is exclusively available to learners enrolled in the Change Management Certification program.

The exam is will take place at the end of the course on onsite classroom courses
For Virtual courses we will send out a voucher that gives you access to an online exam. This can be booked and taken home monitored by a proctor via camera.
The purpose of the Practitioner certification is to confirm whether the candidate has achieved sufficient know-how to apply and tailor Change Management guidance in a given organizational change situation.
The purpose of the Foundation certification is to confirm that a candidate has sufficient knowledge and understanding of Change Management to work as an informal member of a team working on an organizational change initiative.
Exam Format Foundation
- Multiple choice
- Four sections, total of 50 questions
- 25 marks required to pass (out of 50 available) - 50%
- 40 minutes duration
- Closed-book.
Exam format Practitioner

Exam format:
- 2.5-hours duration, including reading time
- Open book Objective Test Examination format

- Complex Multiple-choice, Multiple Response, Matching, Assertion/Reason questions
- Examination paper consists of
- A scenario
- Five main questions, all compulsory
- Each question - subdivided between 4 or 5 sub-parts - will be on different topics within that question’s syllabus area:
- Organisational Context and Approach (OA),
- People and Change (PC),
- Change Leadership and Teams (CT)
- Stakeholders and Communication (SC)
- Work of the Change Manager (WM)
- Each question is worth 16 marks making a total of 80 marks for the paper; the pass mark is 40 (50%).
- Restricted open book – The APMG Change Management Study Guide.
